POSITION:          Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) / Marriage Family Therapist (MFT)              

REPORTS TO:    Clinical Director

SUMMARY:

The clinical social worker / marriage/family master’s level counselor is responsible for delivery of quality, timely and professional treatment services to the clients of HBI.  He/she provides direct and indirect clinical services within the scope of licensure, certification, education and experience.  He/she functions as a team member.  He/she transmits the goals and mission of HBI in a professional and ethical manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree in psychology or counseling psychology or related field.  Experience in providing counseling, psychotherapy, treatment planning and screening assessment services to families, adolescents, children, adults, individuals and groups in a clinical setting.  Facility with and knowledge of a range of theoretical and treatment modalities.  Facility with DSM III-R and DSM IV.  Ability to work as a team member.  Licensed in Nevada as a Clinical Social Worker or LCSW intern, or an MFT or MFT-eligible.  Licensed or Alcohol Drug BADA certified or eligible.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Provide individual, family and group therapies to adults, children, adolescents, couples and families.
·       Provide all case management services for caseload.
·       Participate in all staff meetings.
·       Provide crisis intervention services.
·       Provide inpatient hospitalization follow through with caseload.
·       Provide indirect services.
·       Provide on-call services on a rotating schedule for all HBI clients.
·       Provide on-call services for own caseload.
·       Participate in individual and group supervision.
·       Obtain or maintain licensure and/or certification in good standing.
·       Participate as a team member in a professional and cohesive manner, sharing expertise whenever possible.
·       Comply with all HBI goals and policies.
·       Provide other duties as required.

PERFORMANCE/TASKS:

·       Formulate and implement measurable, objective treatment plans.  Document treatment service delivery including telephone calls, discharges.  Interface with URC to ensure treatment goals are met.  Complete all HBI forms.
·       Participate in clinical staff meetings two hours per week all staff, and individual staffing weekly at the director’s discretion.
·       Be available for providing crisis intervention services on an emergency basis.  Services can include debriefing both on and off-site, public speaking, follow-up and referral.
·       Provide inpatient evaluations and follow-up of clients in the hospital.  Provide case management services in conjunction with URC to ensure continuity of care at least restrictive level of care.  When indirect services are required or when the employee would like to provide or develop indirect services, the Clinical Director will be notified.  The need will be discussed and caseload will be decreased by not more than two hours per week to meet indirect service goals.
·       Provide on-call services to HBI clients on a rotating schedule in conjunction with licensed staff, not more than one weekend per month.
·       Provide availability via answering service for after hours calls to caseload clients.
·       If eligible, be available to provide supervision to unlicensed employees on a regular basis both individually and in group format or participate in supervision in individual and group formats to meet legal requirements.
·       Participate as an active interdependent team member.
·       Provide other duties as required.
