POSITION: Receptionist
REPORTS TO: Office Manager
SUMMARY:
HBI’s receptionist is a frontline position responsible in monitoring incoming phone calls and assisting patients and visitors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- GED or High School Diploma
- Two years prior experience in a clinic or hospital environment (preferred)
- Working knowledge and experience with health insurance plans
- Experience with word processing software
- Experience and knowledge of managed care health insurance programs
- Experience and knowledge of Medical Manager program (preferred)
- Bi-lingual Spanish/English
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Answer incoming phone calls and taking messages for clinicians

Assist patients with their office visits, i.e. check-in/check-out, collecting co-pays, providing forms to fill-out

Verify eligibility from electronic roster and/or telephonically

Schedule patient appointments with HBI clinicians

Follow HBI’s policies and procedures

Report to the Office Manager issues that are critical to patient care, i.e., suicidal and homicidal behavior and other red flags

Print daily patient reports
