Preferred Provider Network

Established under extensive credentialing reviews and by standards and guidelines set forth by NCQA, the HBI Preferred Provider Network will make available to members an extensive network of individual providers, hospitals, and other agencies, both locally and out-of-state.  Preferred Provider panel members are required to remain in good standing with hospitals, institutions, and other agencies.

HBI believes in freedom of choice when choosing a network provider.  Thus, we have developed a flexible system to help address each individual's needs.  Members can choose to seek services with a network provider, staff model therapist, non-affiliated provider, or a combination of the staff model delivery system with an in-network provider.

Staff Model
Services are provided exclusively at HBI's specialty clinics.  This model offers quick access to services, constant monitoring of treatment, and a myriad of programs that address all clinical issues among various age groups.  It's a one-stop service delivery clinic.

Network Providers
Members can choose to access services with any of HBI's network providers.  This network provides geographic access and freedom of choice.

Staff and Network Combined
This model allows members the flexibility of choosing a network provider and the option to attend supportive services through HBI's staff model.

Non-Affiliated Providers
This is only for members who belong to a PPO product.  HMO members can only access this model in an emergency situation.  HBI does not formally credential these providers.  Instead, we require these providers to register with HBI in order to verify licenses, education, qualifications, and insurance status.

As HBI has grown to become one of Nevada's largest providers of managed psychiatric and chemical dependency health care services, our reputation within the professional community has paralleled our accomplishments.  Our annual turnover rate for providers is less than 1%.  We are constantly solicited by mental health professionals to join our provider network.  HBI selectively contracts with new mental health professionals as the requirements of our membership demand.
