TeenTalk™ and Solutions™ Adolescent Programs

HBI has dynamic treatment programs for teens (ages 13-18) where they can discuss issues that are relevant to this very unique period of their development stage in a structured and safe environment dealing with issues of addiction and behavioral patterns that are creating problems for the adolescent at home, school, or with peers.

We will help you determine if you need to step down from an inpatient program to intensive outpatient treatment, but not requiring 24-hour observation and monitoring.

HBI can help make the proper referral for inpatient admission when the patient’s mental health assessment reveals a need for 24-hour observation and stabilization for either psychiatric or chemical dependency issues.

Medication Management

HBI Psychiatric Unit consists of a team of Board Certified Psychiatrists and Practitioners to help those in need of medication to stabilize their symptoms or provide relief from depression, anxieties, or chronic psychiatric conditions. Your therapist can make the proper referral for you to see a qualified psychiatrist.

Also referred to sometimes, as relationship counseling where you and your partner, spouse, child, or parent learn better relationship and communication skills to manage and reconcile problematic differences and recurring distress.

Individual Counseling

A collaborative process and confidential relationship between you and your counselor to guide you in identifying, assessing, and finding resolution to your individual problems, and issues that affect your self-esteem, self-confidence, school, job, or relationships.

Psychosocial Rehabilitative Services

Part of wrap-around services, counselors may recommend a PSR worker to provide a client needed psychosocial rehab and basic living skills training (i.e., self-care, education, occupational concerns, and compliance with treatment including medication). This type of service is provided at home or in coordination with the school.

Home & Family Assessment Team

The mission of HBI’s Home and Family Assessment Team is to determine the recovery environment at home and if necessary, recommend follow-up wrap-around services which include outpatient counseling and rehabilitative services at home. Our team shares the gathered data with the attending physician in order to make informed decisions and discharge planning. Ultimately, our goal is to ensure safety and continuation of treatment immediately after the patient has been discharged from the hospital and to provide support to the family.

OPEN™ Outreach Psychiatric Evaluation Program

The HBI OPEN Program is designed to do assessment and follow-up on patients who are in group homes, nursing homes, private residences, and assisted living facilities and unable to attend therapy visits; also work with and provide support to home health agencies and caregivers.

Dual Diagnosis Treatment Program

Also referred to as dual diagnosis, co-occurring disorders (COD) is a condition where an individual may be diagnosed with a mental illness and co-occurring substance abuse condition. By nature, HBI’s holistic and multi-disciplinary treatment programs are exceptionally designed to identify and treat patients with this complex condition and to help them and their families navigate through the difficult challenges they are experiencing. Rapid Response Team

Also known as Crisis Mobile Team, HBI Rapid Response Team members include: PhD-Level Clinicians, RN’s, and Masters Level Clinicians; on-call 24/7 ready to spring into action and provide on-site evaluation and level of care recommendation. HBI has been entrusted by major insurance plans and public health agencies to assist hospitals and emergency facilities in providing crisis intervention and assessment with patients admitted to the ER or facility due to a psychiatric crisis situation.
